Initial Teacher Training
Normanby-by-Spital Primary School is proud to announce that from September 2017 we have been offering school centred initial teacher training.
We are working with St George’s Academy Partnership, who will award the Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and Lincoln University who will accredit the PGCE. Together these two organisations have an extremely successful track record of training Secondary School Teachers, 100% of trainees last year had teaching jobs for September.
Our programme offers trainees the chance to become fully trained Primary teachers with a specialism in the 3-7 age range. From September 2018, this will also extend to KS2 (7-11)!
St Georges Academy Partnership prides itself on keeping the number of students in each cohort small so that the programme can be adapted to the needs of each student and tutors and mentors really get to know each individual trainee and are able to fully support them.
We will also be offering the opportunity to train with the following carefully selected partner schools:
One of the many benefits of training with us is that through UCAS you get to apply to a host school of your choice so you can choose a school that best suits your personal and professional needs. We know that for some people it is important that they know where they are going to be based to make their home/school life more manageable!
Places are now available to apply for through UCAS using the codes 2W8S or 2W8T.
